Hadley's Hope Biography

Hadley's Hope is: Michael Fargnoli - Keyboards, Vocals Kyle Bodshaug - Guitar, Vocals Christian Hernandez - Drums, Percussion, Vocals ALBUMS/EPs: WaterMan (2017) Shame (2015) Neon City (2012) Hadley's Hope EP (2011) Century Of Progress (2009) Bells & Strings (2007) Live! From LV-426 EP (2006) What began as a musical dream bringing together 3 musicians from across the United States has evolved into the continuing story of a truly American adventure. An adventure that breaks the rules of traditional pop/rock. Across this vast sonic landscape is where you will find Hadley's Hope, an Indie Rock outfit from Orlando, Florida that continues to grow stronger and more dynamic with each album release. Hadley's Hope's humble beginnings go all the way back to 2003 when singer-keyboardist Michael Fargnoli formed a band called Studio K. Finding success after two years of playing the local Orlando scene, Michael kept on the lookout for something that would further evolve the band. In 2005, guitarist Kyle Bodshaug joined the lineup which began the redefinition of a band struggling to find it's sound. Christian Hernandez joined less than a year later and the band was re-named and re-branded as Hadley's Hope. Recalling the bands’ cinematic influence on their music, the name is an homage to James Cameron's blockbuster movie Aliens which Kyle calls "the greatest action movie ever made. Period." Michael and Kyle's musical partnership began to develop and continued to thrive and flourish throughout numerous lineup changes. The result was a string of studio albums including their debut Bells & Strings (2007), Century Of Progress (2009), and Neon City (2012) which the Orlando Sentinel hailed as "a dozen songs that meld a bit of the musical grandiosity of Queen with the synthesizer-heavy melodicism of Styx". In 2010, during the making of Hadley's Hope's self-titled EP, a chance encounter at Walt Disney World led Michael to meet Baltimore producer Ryan Graham. There was an immediate connection. Ryan was brought on board to finish the project which was released in 2011 and included the fan favorite "Candlelight." The band embarked on a new project with Ryan which became the full length album Neon City. The follow up to Neon City found Hadley's Hope shifting directions and exploring different sounds and styles in the studio. Shame was released in 2015 and it includes the fan favorites "Futurecom" and "WorldKey". In 2017, Hadley's Hope debuts their most ambitious, yet most back to basics album to date. WaterMan, set for release this summer, displays the band at a creative peak. Written and arranged entirely in the studio, the songs range from haunting piano ballads, metal edged dive bar rock, to catchy indie-pop gems.
