Amanda Rheaume, from Ottawa is an award winning singer songwriter with a powerful, slightly gritty, deeply personal and instantly accessible folk/ roots sound with elements of pop, country and soul in her songs. In 2014 she was awarded Canadian Folk Music's award for Songwriter of the Year for her 'Keep A Fire' album, which charted the history of her Red Indian and maritime heritage of her great grandmother and great grandfather respectively. Her increasing success stems fro her soulful ability to translate personal stories into messages, whilst evoking a sense of positivity and communicating the strength of those gone before her. She will be joined by Fraser Wilson on guitar and MJ Dandenau on bass.Support will come from York artist Dan Webster and his band. Dan's music is influenced by the sounds and story telling traditions of British and American music.
