The Hanging StarsThe Hanging Stars were an epiphany visited upon the rain soaked air of England's green and pleasant land, becoming whole, tangible and real in the Californian desert.There they formed there mix of lush harmonies, cosmic americana and tuneful folk creating something halfway between the Mississippi and the Mersey, the desert's beating sun and the dark skies of London. The band's name was taken from Jarvis Cocker's story of the first time he wore glasses, realising that the holes in the trees were in fact the "sky between the leaves".
