About this concert
The Hanging StarsThe Hanging Stars were an epiphany visited upon the rain soaked air of England's green and pleasant land, becoming whole, tangible and real in the Californian desert. There they formed there mix of lush harmonies, cosmic americana and tuneful folk creating something halfway between the Mississippi and the Mersey, the desert's beating sun and the dark skies of London. Their sound is something timeless and yet somehow new, simultaneously nostalgic and prophetic. They vary in number, yet wherever they go they carry the rain and the sand with them.http://www.thehangingstars.com/Sky Between LeavesSky Between Leaves is a London based alt-rock/Krautronica ensemble. The band's name was taken from Jarvis Cocker's story of the first time he wore glasses, realising that the holes in the trees were in fact the "sky between the leaves". The visual perception translates to the band's sound which takes us through feverish dreams and stroboscopic haze only to wake us to a deafening glittery reality. http://skybetweenleaves.bandcamp.com/ INCAIf we could compare Inca's sound to that of an image; a floral cowboy dressed as a hippie, dragging a fuzzy black and white television through the desert sand via a piece of rope, whistling a familiar 60s tune, heading for the setting sun, then we probably would.https://incauk.bandcamp.com/Doors open at 7.30 pm Free EntryThe Finsbury, 336 Green Lanes, N4 1BY, London http://www.thefinsbury.co.uk/

Sky Between Leaves Biography
Sky Between Leaves is an East London based Brazilian post punk/krautrock act. Its members are Tito Cordeiro (guitar/vocals), Brenno Balbino (Bass/ synthesizers), Juliana Favero (Drums/ Percussion). The band's name comes from Jarvis Cocker's anecdote about wearing glasses for the first time and realising that the holes in the trees were the sky. The band has supported seminal alternative acts Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins), The Telescopes, Mark Gardner (Ride) and resurgent bands of English C86 scene The Woodentops, Blue Orchids and 14 Iced Bears. The trio is gearing up for the release of their debut EP called People Begin To Fly scheduled for release late March 2016. Hazy soundscapes. Sharp thoughts. Currently booking shows in the UK and Europe. Contact: skybetweenleaves@gmail.com
