Waywhilago

Formed by chance in 2014 at Haleyville, AL’s 911 Festival, Waywhilago consists of singer/songwriter duo, Wendell Franks of Brilliant, AL , on acoustic/vocals & Shane Blalock of Hamilton/Florence, AL, on bass/vocals. For over 20 years these two have been putting their stories to melody to bring you their one of kind, Y’allTernative Country. Waywhilago also features Jeff Hill of Haleyville, AL, on lead electric, and Danyelle Bragwell Franks of Phil Campbell/Brilliant, AL, on vocals. Collectively we have played with bands such as: YellowHammer, Shiloh, Groove Rooster, WSM, and The Whiskey River Band. We have just completed our debut EP, Waywhilago, at Wishbone Studios in Muscle Shoals with Grammy Award winning Producer and Engineer, Alan Schulman and Chris Stone, with credits such as Jimmy Buffett, Travis Tritt, Chris Ledoux, Alabama, Shenandoah, just to name a few. We are currently booking all of 2015 at local restaurants, music venues, festivals, weddings, and private parties here in the South, with recording for our full length studio album to come later on this year.
