Garrett Miles Biography

He was born in Columbus, Georgia and has always has a passion for God, family, his country and music. He was tapping his hands and feet with the beat of music before he could even walk or talk, and as a very young child announced that he was going to move to Nashville to be a singer. Due to his optic nerves never developing, Garrett only has 10% vision in his left eye and none in his right. However, that didn’t stop this talented musician. He learned to the play the guitar when he was 10 by feel and by ear and can hear a song and teach himself to play it. He has always known that country music is where his passion for music lives and enjoys that the songs are about the artists, their lives and their experiences. His grandfathers instilled a love of old country music in him and it his goal is to bring that passion back to the country music industry. Garrett often performs for the troops and their families, stating, “It is indeed a pleasure to sing for the men and women who fight for our freedom. I will never be able to fight for my country, but I want to support our men and women that do." One of the highlights of his singing career was when he received an invitation from the Governor’s office to sing for the troops in Washington D.C. at Walter Reed Hospital. He has also performed at the 2006 Republican Convention and twice at the Capitol in 2004 and 2005, as well as for Governor Riley and Mrs. Riley at the Governor’s mansion. Strumming his guitar or turning heads with his classic country vocals, rising star Garrett Miles reminds us all what we love about country music.
