Beneath The Current

Beneath the Current is a 6-piece metalcore band from the Western PA area. The band was formed in the summer of 2014 and immediately began to write material for the debut EP, "Obstacles". The title of their EP is all about the struggle each member has gone through to get to this point in their musical life. Whether it be projects that didn't work out, lineup changes, or just personal issues, there's no doubt that it's been a journey for this sextet to have come this far. Beneath the Current's style is influenced from a wide array of acts that the band idolizes and seeks inspiration from. The band's goal is to put their own spin on the genre and have fun doing it while making new friends in the process. With a mix of charisma, energy, and humor, every Beneath the Current show is guaranteed to be interesting and keep the audience guessing. Beneath the Current can frequently be seen moshing/hyping the bands accompanying them at their shows. Currently, the band is writing new material that builds off their inaugural release both stylistically and in maturity which they hope to release later in 2015. The band's goal is to expand their reach and meet new people by playing venues outside of their local area in hopes of making new connections that will take the band to new heights.
