AOA believes that Jesus is alive in us and the world, and their number one priority is to get Him out to anyone and everyone. The name “Altars Of Athens” comes from the book of Acts in the 17th chapter, where Paul is preaching to the people of Athens. In the city, the Athenian people worship many different gods, each with their own dedicated altar. However, there is one altar made to the unknown god. This is the altar that Paul uses to tell the people about the saving grace of Jesus; likewise, Altars Of Athens uses their music to relate to every listener and tell them about how Jesus saves. In this world where evil is prevalent, Altars Of Athens stands out from the mainstream crowd. Their music has a mission, and that is to lead and love others with the power of Christ.
