To celebrate the 500th anniversary of the completion of one of the most stupendous architectural wonders in the world - King's College Chapel, Cambridge the internationally-acclaimed choral director and flamboyant ex-King's Choral Scholar, Ian de Massini, directs his exclusive choir, Cambridge Voices, in a stunning sequence of ravishing choral masterpieces, performed in the world's largest medieval Cathedral Lady Chapel, with 40 singers placed around the audience, creating an unparalleled sonic experience. Works include:Allegri's Miserere mei, the world's most famous piece of choral music.Robert Wylkynson's monumental 13-voice canon, from the monumental Eton Choirbook.The World Premiere of two movements (Crucifixus and Et Resurrexit) from Bach's masterpiece, the Mass in B minor, especially arranged for unaccompanied double-choir for this concert by Ian de Massini.Sir John Tavener's tender and intimate setting of Wiliam Blake's poem The Lamb.The World Premiere of De Massini's I sing of a Maiden.Premium Tickets include free Program and an Interval Drink.
