Spinechain Biography
Originally formed in '98 jamming to old Misfits tunes, founders Brandon Mock (Blindman/Forlife), Mike Petrilla (Hellblock 6, Wreck the Day) and Mike Huth (MID, Resentment, Vakien) began writing songs that combined aggressive guitar, growling bass, thrashy drums and melodic to 'screaming on pitch' vocals. Spinechain's songs were inspired by such bands as: 7Seconds, Minor Threat, Misfits, Ignite, Bouncing Souls, Sick of it All, Judge, Vision, etc. Spinechain's original 4 song demo was recorded in the fall of '99 and included the songs Bike Jam, Musician, Isolation and Cryptfiend. The band went on hiatus in 2002 to pursue other projects, but reformed in 2009 with Ed Gallagher (Era of Affliktion) replacing Mike Petrilla. Since reforming spinechain has been busy performing and recording. Over the past 5 years, We've had the opportunity to open for some great bands including: Calabrese, Murphy's Law, The Business, DRI, McRad, Havok, Biohazard and The Misfits. To sum up our philosophy, we play music with an edge. We are about making fun music that people will enjoy listening to. We don't need to make money off of our material, we'll give it away. Come to one of our shows and grab a free cd! We are fans of many genres and we are not worried about fitting a mold, or changing our style to fit a clique or crew. Come out and hang with us, friend us on Facebook or Reverbnation. You can even follow us on twitter. - Mike, Brandon, Ed Three piece Punk band based out of Philadelphia, PA
