Cavorts Biography

Emerging in early 2012, Cavorts are a four piece rock and roll band from the northern frontier town of Barnsley, a place where the coal is black and the riffs even blacker. Playing their first gig opening the Jagermeister Tour at the Leeds O2, Cavorts soon got noticed by distinguished Canadian label Distort Records (Alexisonfire, Cancer Bats, Comeback Kid) who released their debut EP 'Times Told' that saw them get played on Radio One. Soon after the release of the EP Cavorts were personally invited by Dragonforce to open for them on their UK leg of their 'The Power Within' tour. Fuelled by good old fashioned energy and an honest passion for what they do, their solid punk rock work ethic means that you're just as likely to see this lot destroying a tiny venue as on the biggest stages in the country. Cavorts locked themselves in the studio in 2014 to record their debut album 'Got Your Brass' a brash monster of an album, 10 tracks of heavy riffage and hooks aplenty. Taking a blend of classic rock, metal, hardcore and punk, Cavorts honed their unique style developed on their previous EP and created one hell of a record capturing the hi-octane, balls-out spirit of rock and roll. These four rowdy lads worship at the altar of the riff, perfecting punk with that grooved-out Southern flair, making for anthems you can sink your teeth into, loud enough to blow the speakers... literally. Cavorts went through a line up change in 2015 with Vocalist/Guitarist Ryan Senior leaving the band. His replacement Matt Conway made his debut on 'The Working Weak' Single which was released 04.06.16. Cavorts are currently in the Riff Lab writing their next album. Cavorts are ready to crank it up heavy, turn it up loud and play harder!
