Hailing from the depths of Bay St. Louis, MS this band has a sound not usually heard from the Deep South and has become something truly original. The group is forever expanding on their already well established core following and gathering many new loyal fans with each and every show. The StereoHype do-it-yourself work ethic and business sense keeps the band in demand and always on the verge of a breakthrough. StereoHype self-finances every pursuit, whether it's touring, recording, or selling merchandise. In 2008 StereoHype played the largest gig of their career, ”CPR Fest 12”, playing to a crowd of over 10,000 people with the likes of Shinedown, P.O.D., & Puddle of Mudd. Just a month later, the band played Tennessee Ska Weekend in Knoxville, TN and the Mass Ska Raid at the Masquerade in Atlanta, GA. The band then finished off the year playing Bayfest in Mobile,AL. In 2009 StereoHype released their first full length album "More Than Motion", which was available for purchase on Amazon, iTunes, and at Best Buy locations across the southeast. CD Release shows were at the Hard Rock in Biloxi, MS, and the House of Blues in New Orleans, LA. The band has now played Bayfest in Mobile, AL four years consecutively. In 2010, the band booked and funded a three week summer tour spanning from Texas to Florida, up the east coast, from New York to Chicago, and back home. Never looking back, the band charged forward in 2011 and in May 2012, played to several hundred fans at the Gulfport Music Festival in Gulfport, MS. 2014 is upon us and StereoHype has resurfaced at the demand of our loyal fans, bookers, and promoters. They want to get back to what they do best; creating wonderful memories with music and energetic performances, blending every sound imaginable to one that is their own.
