Pillgrim

Pillgrim was formed in 2011, hailing from Alberta’s Canadian Rockies. Based around the talents of Robin Pereira, Pillgrim is joined by Gavin Boutet on drums and Pat Cloutier on the stand up bass. Pillgrim’s music is full of catchy hooks that keeps the audience engaged throughout each song. The songs are diverse; some with a clean, yet rugged sound that provokes a dark lawlessness within ones self to slow bittersweet themes that play with the affairs of the heart. The music is easier to describe than to categorize, expressing characteristics of Americana, Alternative Country, Rockabilly and Electric Surf. Pillgrim will be touring this spring alongside the talented Lori Reid for her “Sugar Mine” Tour across the western provinces. When Robin is not working on Pillgrim tracks, he plays lead guitar with the Seth Anderson Band and is a regular guest with Lori Reid. Robin is currently working on his album production set to release this fall. Robin is a multi instrumentalist and has been known for turning any musical note to butter on whatever instrument he picks up. His first accolade was for his multiple roles in the charting band Stigmata, based out of Vancouver, at the young age of 19. Since then, Robin took on a more grounded role with his musicianship. He has played with many bands and frequently participated in sessions in studio and on stage. Robin is recognized for his paramount audio technician skills. Off stage Robin has worked with music festivals and countless recording artists over the years. Robin has deep roots in the music community and a comprehensive understanding of sound which further affixes him to the industry. Pillgrim is a project that strikes a comforting darkness into their audience. A performance that will resonate with your soul. Music that comes at you like beer drenched tumbleweed rolling through the badlands.
