BEIJA Biography

Beija's core was formed in the summer of 2013. Lead guitarist Miggy, vocalist Mike and drummer Alex had been previously acquainted through a few former local projects together, and these bonds compelled them to return to creating music together. The musical chemistry between them was undeniable, and after writing some material, they decided to search for a second guitarist. The search garnered them a new addition in Adrian, whose natural flow with the band exuded the feeling of a perfect fit, like a missing puzzle piece. Ever since his joining, he has been a huge boon to the band, and this motivated the band to record their first two singles at Let Down Studios in October of 2013. Singles "Hollow Bodies" and "Heavy Hearts" featured bass tracks played by Adrian, and after the band released the singles on their Bandcamp account, they felt that they were in need of a bassist; the search for a new member began once again. Their search efforts landed them with Charles, whose ability to learn and adapt quickly to the music allowed him to synergize well with the band, earning his spot as their bassist. Currently the guys are writing new material and heading to the studio to record current material. Check them out live, and if you like them, come out to support them and spread the word! Beija is a six-member band that presents a passionate, experimental music set with a dab of heaviness to captivate their audience.
