Centre St. Biography
Since their formation in October 2011, Centre St. has brought an exciting new sound to the Greater Boston music scene. Their live shows mix their wide repertoire of original and cover songs with extended full-band improvisations, so you never know what to expect, and you never hear the same show twice. They also pride themselves on their depth as a band, with a stylistic range covering everything from bluegrass and jazz to straight-up rock 'n roll. They continue to expand their fan base through a busy performing schedule, which has included headlining shows at The Plough and Stars, Amazing Things Arts Center, and The Chicken Bone (among many other venues). The band has also won first-place in competitions hosted at The Center for the Arts Natick (TCAN) and Rotary Rock'n Ribfest in Merrimack, NH. In August 2014, Centre St. released their first album, "John Smith's Lawn," which is currently available online, and a brand-new single, "A Song Named Steve" featuring a guest horn trio, is coming soon. Centre St. is Adam Rochelle (keyboards, vocals), Sam Baler (guitar, vocals), Johnnie Gilmore (bass), and Sam "Ramone" Rochelle (drums, vocals). We are an original rock/jam band from MetroWest Boston, MA. Our album "John Smith's Lawn" is available now for free at centrest.bandcamp.com!
