Kathryn is already an experienced musician, having been songwriting and performing since the age of 11. From her early days of open mics, to opening shows for such musical legends as Shawn Colvin, Michael Martin Murphey, Lorrie Morgan, Marcia Ball, Terri Hendrix, Susan Gibson and Walt Wilkins, Kathryn has honed her skills on stage and sold out her recent CD release show. Kathryn's accolades include a Houston Press nomination for Best Pop Artist in 2011, selection as a 2012 Ballad Tree Regional Finalist in the Kerrville New Folk Competition, Winner of the Texas Independent Music Expo, 2-time finalist at the Songwriters Serenade, and a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. Kathryn's 2nd EP "Nocturnal" is the latest step in her musical journey, a 5 course, 5 star meal with incredible variety for the musical palate. Produced by Kyle Hutton, the EP features musical contributions from Lloyd Maines (Dixie Chicks, Robert Earl Keen), and was mixed by Niko Bolas (Neil Young, James Taylor) at The Surf Shack in Los Angeles. "Nocturnal" shows Kathryn's musical range while remaining true to the core of her musical essence. Kathryn is looking forward to combining her real world experience with the study of music in college, and to a future life full of musical adventure.
