Rachel Fabri Biography

RACHEL FABRI completed a Masters in Musical Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting, UK. Rachel is a classical-crossover and musical theatre soprano - a popular and professional singer who has performed in various concerts, musicals, corporate events, gigs, weddings etc.. most frequently in Malta and the UK. She is signed to the internationally-acclaimed Eclipse Artists Agency. Rachel also enjoys branching out into indie pop/ indie folk music and often writes and composes her own material. The single Let You Go was released in January 2017 on iTunes, Spotify and many other sites and the official music video may be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkJPnLYyxdc Rachel most recently played the iconic role of Maria in The Sound of Music at the MCC (Grapevine Music) - Oct 2016. Andre Delicata, The Times of Malta: "Maria, played by the wonderful Rachel Fabri - whose clear, pure tones certainly do justice to the character - which is no easy task, as the Julie Andrews comparison is inevitable. However, Fabri made the role of Maria her very own...". Prior to this, Rachel played a rather different role, that of spunky Regina in Malta's longest running musical Rock of Ages (TAC Theatre). In 2015, Rachel launched her debut solo musical theatre / classical-crossover album, 'Forever Yours' in Malta and in London. The Malta launch was held at Maria Rosa Wine Estate in Attard where Rachel was accompanied by some of Malta's top musicians, and the UK launch was held at The Pheasantry in London, where Rachel was accompanied by WMTO conductor Andrew Hopkins on the piano. Lejman, Times of Malta: "Both the event and the album it celebrated were well-executed and chock-full of talent." http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20150830/arts-entertainment/an-emotional-tribute.582542 2015 also saw Rachel playing the challenging role of Cathy in the Jason Robert Brown two-person musical 'The Last Five Years', which was held at the Blue Box, Malta, in November 2015, and received excellent reviews. Jes Camilleri, Sunday Times of Malta: "Rachel Fabri was a great Cathy, quietly emotional in her heart-wrenching delivery of her opening song 'Still Hurting' and hilariously comical in her excellent 'Audition Sequence'." http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20151104/arts-entertainment/the-last-five-years.590878 Rachel also played 'Catherine' in '1565 - The Musical in Concert', alongside the MPO, which was held at the MCC for the 450th anniversary of the Great Siege.
