Oliver Ocean

Oliver Ocean formed by fate in Nashville in the early months of 2014, considering all the members were born and grew up in different states. At first, their time together was spent simply playing without “writing” until they began to start moulding their more ambitious creations into something tangible. Highlighting special moments captured during improv jams, they whittle & polish the results into a whole, organic sound, ultimately becoming the song; a kind of care towards chemistry and communal writing that bleeds through the music. Their live set flows like an orchestrated dreamscape with imagery-laden lyricism and winding structures, taking sharp turns that only amplify the dynamics these guys are becoming known for. Borrowing from a host of genres, Oliver Ocean blend a rock solid rhythm section with folky, harmony-drenched melodies and cosmic string textures. It is a sound that has won them The Deli Nashville's "December 2014 Artist of the Month", a finalist spot in Lightning 100's 2015 Road to Bonnaroo contest and finds them nestled deep in the flourishing indie rock scene of Nashville, Tennessee.
