Mark Ben Wilson

Mark Ben Wilson is a fingerstyle acoustic guitarist and song writer. Combining percussive techniques, looping and vocals to create hypnotic grooves and intoxicating melodies. Mark grew up in a small seaside town in Lincolnshire where he would spend most of his time either playing guitar or surfing with his two older brothers. At the age of sixteen he moved to West Sussex and eventually ended up studying music full time at ‘ACM’ and ‘The Institute’ which he graduated from in 2005. Since then Mark has worked for several years as a performing musician and guitar teacher. He also landed a job as a demo musician in 2009 on an unusual electronic instrument called an Eigenharp, which led onto performances on BBC World News, Sky News, Namm (USA), Musikmesse (Germany), and several radio stations. During this time he composed several electronic tracks and released his most popular track ‘Outcry’ on a compilation album through ‘Wobbly Records’ in 2012. In 2013 Mark launched a solo acoustic act and has since been performing at various venues in the South East of England. After such a great response from promoters and fans Mark has decided to get to work on an EP which is due to be released later this year.
