Delion

Delion, est fondé en janvier 2010 par Jimmy (Chant), Jason (Claviers) et Sylvain (Batterie). Un guitariste et un bassiste les rejoinent pour composer les premières chansons qui commencent à donner une identité au groupe. Les activités stoppèrent fin 2010 suite au départ de Jason, du guitariste et du bassiste. Le groupe fut remonté en septembre 2012 par Jimmy (Chant) et Sylvain (Batterie) avec la venue de Brian (Claviers), Benjamin et Basile (Guitares) et de Kevin (Basse). La démo "The Beginning" voit le jour en août 2013. Le premier EP du groupe, "Tales Of The Northern Realms", sort le 11 mai 2014. La musique de Delion est influencée par le Folk Metal, le Black Metal Ambient/Atmosphérique ainsi qu'un peu par le Metal Symphonique. Nos compositions racontent l'histoire de Delion, un guerrier qui faisait partie d'un ordre qui a failli à la protection de son monde. Notre démo raconte cette chute, alors que l'EP se concentre sur la revanche de cet homme. Au niveau musicale, nos compos mélangent des sonorités folk et symphoniques aux claviers qui se partagent la mélodie avec les guitares, chacun soutenant l'autre à tour de rôles. La batterie est en général plutôt rapide et le chant est typé Black Metal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DISCO : The Beginning (demo) - 2013 Tales of the Northern Realm (EP) - 2014 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Delion was founded in 2010 by Jimmy (vocals), Jason (keyboards) and Sylvain (drums). They will later be joined by a guitarist and bass player, and, together, they wrote their first compositions, which started to give shape to the band's identity. The band stopped its activities in 2010 following the departure of the guitarist, the bass player and Jason. In September 2012 the band is reformed by Jimmy (vocals) and Sylvain (drums) and joined by new members Brian (keyboards), Benjamin (guitars), Basile (guitars) and Kevin (bass). In August 2013 the band's first demo, titled "The Beginning", sees the ligth of day. On 11 May, 2014, the band releases their first EP, "Tales Of The Northern Realms". Delion's music is influenced by Folk Metal and Ambient/Atmospherical Black Metal, and to a lesser extent by Symphonic Metal. Our compositions tell the story of Delion, a warrior once belonging to an ancient order that failed to protect its world. The demo is about the fall of that order, while the EP focuses on Delion's revenge. As for the music, our compositions blend folk and symphonic sounds on keyboards, which share the melody with the guitars, taking turns at supporting each other. Our music also features generally rapid drumming and Black Metal-styled vocals.
