Tower of Flies

Tower of Flies are a blackened death metal band based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Since their first gig in late 2012, they have shaped their own brand of old school metal, inspired by bands such as Deicide, Death, Cannibal Corpse, Darkthrone and Immortal, and includes past and present members of Sons of Slaughter and Scumpulse. Through playing regular gigs, including Glasgore Fest 2013 and Vomfest, they have built a strong reputation for themselves, with energetic and high intensity shows, and have played alongside bands such as Von, Morkhimmel, Cancerous Womb, Scordatura and Oblivionized, to name but a few. The band have also promoted their own concerts, including DIY house gigs under the name of Black Cave, to great reception. Tower of Flies have just completed their self-produced/DIY debut album, entitled ‘Death Approaches’, which will see a release in mid 2015.
