Artist bio
THE STRANGER is the complete premiere tribute to the music of one of the world’s most beloved performers, Billy Joel. Comprised of some of the best and most experienced musicians in the business, this 6 piece band brings together an authentic replication of Billy's timeless music, crowning it with soulful, spot on vocals that makes listening to a Billy Joel song so special.
Out front on piano & lead vocals is founder & frontman Mike Santoro. Born and raised in Levittown like Joel himself, Mike not only looks and talks a lot like Billy, but has the piano chops, vocal prowess and stage presence of the Piano Man - so much so that you will soon forget you are watching a tribute show. The STRANGER gives you the Billy Joel experience with the sound of his original band in its prime... energetic, interactive and often unpredictable. Its live entertainment at its best!

What fans are saying
The Stranger Billy Joel Tribute is an excellent Billy Joel Tribute Band. Mike Santoro has an excellent voice and stage presence presenting the music with authenticity and reverence. The rest of the band is also excellent supporting the sound with keyboards, guitar, saxaphone and even this time, a violin to get the authentic sound for Downeaster Alexa, a song I belive is new in their repertory. They said they have been playing for 15 years and I have been going to see them for over 8 years and its always a great show.
Tribute bands give us the chance to hear the music we love live. Billy may not be able to tour any longer, so I'm thankful I can still hear the songs I love performed in a live setting.
