The McKinleys

The McKinleys are an Austin acoustic Americana duo, mandolin and guitar. Roots music with a cosmic vibe: everything from fiddle tunes and the Bill Monroe canon to honky-tonk, Bakersfield country, and the Americana songbook of Gram Parsons and the Grateful Dead. After more than a decade together, the songs they play are like old friends. Mike is a bluegrass veteran on the mandolin. With hundreds of songs to pull from, they take their cues from the audience, so no two sets are the same. Catch them every Saturday morning at the Counter Cafe, or book them for private parties, house concerts, festivals, and weddings across Central Texas, as a duo or expanded with additional musicians for a fuller sound.
