Artist bio
“With any label people put on my music, I just want to push the boundaries of it,” says Veronica Everheart. Hers is a sound that’s amorphous and evasive of description, pulling from indie rock, electronic, and folk, with GZ RADIO citing “guitars mangled beyond recognition, vocal glitches, skeletal percussion, and sticky melodies.” FernMusic calls it “interdimensional.” GZ calls her “your favorite artist’s favorite artist.” But Everheart is breaking more than just genre lines. Balancing careers as a singer, songwriter, producer, DJ, and model, she says, “I wanted to try every other form of art because I knew I’d be a musician forever.” Having made a name for herself in the (notably male-dominated) electronic and indie rock scenes, she has quickly solidified herself as an artist not to be underestimated. Between opening for Keanu Reeves and Dorian Electra, as well as DJ’ing alongside The Dare and Pretty Sick, Everheart has amassed a cult following of over 130k annual listeners, who followed her adoringly as she supported The Hellp on tour, playing sold out shows at The Nova, Brooklyn Steel, Webster Hall, The Vic, and Berhta.

Everheart’s most recent releases, Lighter In The Morning 1/2 and Lighter In The Morning 2/2, represent a departure from the sterility of her past projects, but a more polished display of her creative partnership with Justin “Juni” Neugeboren. When asked what the riskiest song on the album was, she responds: “The whole thing was kind of a risk for me.” But they’ve never been more sure of themselves. The album is unflinching. Cheeky and specific, she calls out “white boys in Dimes Square” who think they know more than everyone. Bitingly self-aware, she admits, “I’m the bitch who’s always by your side.” And devastating in her vulnerability, she sings to women who were taught to want to shrink. But Veronica Everheart is doing anything but shrinking. She threw her album release show in a boxing gym — we know she’s got a bit of a fighting spirit.
