Trip Van Winkle is a Salt Lake City-based singer-songwriter blending indie folk, Americana, and alternative rock into intimate, story-driven songs. Raised in Monterey, California, he sang at Carnegie Hall before spending years writing and performing in New York and later Utah. His music explores love, loss, hope, and human connection, drawing inspiration from artists like John Mayer, The Shins, Coldplay, and Fleet Foxes. In 2026, he released the 10th Anniversary Edition of "Batti Ayo (Hey Nepal)," a song inspired by his time living in Nepal that continues to connect listeners across the world. Whether performing solo or with his band, Trip Van Winkle & the Holy Smokes, his shows balance thoughtful originals with beloved covers in a warm, engaging live experience.
