D:RC

Jungle Bells resident DJ and bass music enthusiast Darcy Reenis aka D:RC has been a fixture of the Southeast US dance music scene since the mid-90s. While attending UGA in Athens, GA, he built a regional reputation by DJing, producing events, and holding key residencies with influential late 90s/early 00s DJ crews. Though his first love is drum & bass, his obsession with bass led him to explore other styles like breakbeat, dubstep and UKG. In 2012, he co-founded the bass music trio Smookie Illson (alongside Keith MacKenzie and Fixx), touring nationally before the group dissolved. Reconnecting with his D&B roots pre-2020, he launched the ‘Liquid Lovers Lounge’ Twitch streams, showcasing deep, melodic D&B. He joined Atlanta’s long-running DNB night Torch in 2022 and currently serves as Art Director for the Atlanta-based Jungle Bells Festival.
