Patsy and Dave

Patsy and Dave (formerly known as The Long and Short of It) are superb singer/songwriters performing Americana styled country music with classic country influences.

They first met in 2007 and have an impressive resume that includes
7 albums/EPs, together with a slew of awards in recognition of their achievements.

The duos latest album release “The Willow “ features two co-writes and performances with Aussie Legend- Russell Morris. The album debuted at #1 on the ARIA country charts and #1 on AIR National Indie charts. This success followed their triumphant release of their last album “Midnight Choir” which was produced by Nashville songwriter/producer Kenny Royster (Luke Coombs fame) which also debuted at Number 1 on the ARIA Australian Artist Country chart and AIR National Indie chart in August 2022.

MEDIA QUOTES:

Music Existence USA

“Hailing from Down Under hasn’t been any sort of problem for Patsy & Dave to compose and play convincing American country music.
They are far from purists. There’s an ample blues sound present in the duo’s music, but David Baird and Patsy Toop’s long collaboration under
this moniker joins the growing ranks of successful acts from far flung locations who’ve adopted the “Nashville” sound every bit as convincing as their American counterparts.”

Scope Magazine

The Long & Short Of It, David Baird and Patsy Toop, planting their
flag in the best possible way. Hearing how they reclaim classic
country subject matter as their own with a personalized touch should
convince any skeptics that this venerable form, traditional country
music complete with pedal steel and light theatricality, is still a
viable art form.

Vent Magazine

Vocal blend, as it is for any singing duo, is crucial. Patsy Toop and
David Baird’s creative partnership defines this and the core of that
collaboration is the elastic and uplifting tilt of their voices
working together.

Sophie Hamley, Author at Sunburnt Country Music

“Both band members are highly experienced musicians who draw their influences from traditional country music as well as more contemporary sounds
