The Woolverstones are an authentically preserved, living continuation of the British pastoral avant-garde. Shunning the modern chase for social media metrics, this fiercely independent outfit has built a dedicated international following the old-fashioned way: through an ironclad live work ethic, uncompromising artistry, and pure word-of-mouth mythology. Lauded by the likes of Folking, Mardles, and It’s Psychedelic Baby! Magazine, the band's music has earned glowing endorsements from music historian Colin Larkin, members of The Byrds, and Country Joe and the Fish, while Laurel Canyon Radio hailed their debut single, "A Song for Harlequins," as a "Folk Masterpiece."

Their debut album, Grey Eyed Dandy, carries a flawless sonic pedigree, produced and mixed by Grammy-nominated sound engineer John Wood—the definitive sonic architect behind historic folk masterpieces by Nick Drake (Pink Moon), John Martyn (Solid Air), and Fairport Convention. Wood's world-class engineering brings a signature spatial depth, rolling acoustic warmth, and elegant flute textures to The Woolverstones' haunting landscapes.

Further cementing the band's place in the modern folk landscape, one track from the album was named “Track of the Week” by BBC Introducing, while the title song was featured on Fruits de Mer Records' compilation, In The Year 2025.

With a relentless touring schedule that spans over 70 dates a year across the UK and Europe, The Woolverstones are widely recognized as one of the hardest-working grassroots bands on the European circuit. Their captivating live performances have earned them key festival appearances, including the Cambridge Folk Festival, Howth Roots and Blues Festival, Folk in a Field, Lowther's Folk & Roots Festival, and the Cropredy Fringe.

A true sonic chameleon, the band effortlessly bridges genres. Their diverse live history includes supporting Manchester icons Inspiral Carpets, freak-folk pioneers Malcolm Le Maistre (The Incredible String Band) and Leo O'Kelly (Tír na nÓg), dark-roots trailblazers The Pine Hill Haints, and European neo-psych outfits like Beautify Junkyards.
