About this concert
4:00 PM CST
For Dakota people, ṗéta (fire) is more than a source of light and warmth. Fire is a relative. It carries our prayers, gathers our people, teaches us responsibility, and reminds us of our connection to one another. Around the fire, stories are shared, knowledge is passed forward, and community is strengthened.
Ṗéta: The Fire Connects Us, the guiding theme for this year’s fashion show, draws inspiration from these teachings, bringing together Indigenous designers, artists, musicians, and models for an evening that celebrates creativity, culture, and connection. Through fashion, the runway becomes a gathering place where tradition and innovation meet, honoring the strength of Indigenous identity while illuminating contemporary Indigenous expression.
The evening will also feature a special musical performance by LOV, a rising Indigenous neo-soul and R&B artist and a member of the Poundmaker Cree Nation.
Whether you are a longtime supporter of Indigenous fashion or experiencing it for the first time, we invite you to gather with us to celebrate creativity, community, and the relationships that connect us across generations. As ṗéta reminds us of our responsibilities to one another, 100% of ticket proceeds from this event will be donated to Native nonprofit organizations, extending the impact of this gathering back into our communities.

Artist bio
LOV is a force of resilience, rhythm, and reinvention. Hailing from Treaty 6 Territory, this rising artist transforms personal trials into soulful affirmations of strength and independence. With a sound rooted in UK-inspired soul and guided by a deep sense of purpose, LOV’s music is both healing and unapologetically empowering.
Her journey took a pivotal turn when she decided to fully embrace her artistry—stepping into her truth and reshaping her narrative. What followed was a rebirth. As LOV, she channels raw emotion into songs that carry the weight of lived experience while remaining light enough to dance to. Whether she’s celebrating matriarchal strength or voicing quiet moments of reflection, her music resonates with sincerity and grace.
LOV’s rich, smoky vocals found a powerful match in renowned Montréal-based producer Connor Seidel (Charlotte Cardin, Half Moon Run, Katie Tupper), whose refined production elevated her sound into a crisp, elegant, and emotionally layered body of work. Together, they crafted a collection that showcases LOV’s maturity, versatility, and effortless cool.
Her debut singles — Mama, Matriarch, and Relate — have already earned her over 300,000 streams across platforms and more than 2 million views on TikTok, signaling a fast-growing fanbase drawn to her authenticity and style. Matriarch soared into the Top 10 on the Indigenous Music Countdown, affirming her rising profile in the Indigenous music community. She’s also been featured on major Spotify Editorial playlists, including Mood Ring, EQUAL, and Fresh Finds Canada, as well as Apple Music’s Indigenous Now—testament to her wide-reaching, cross-platform appeal.
Recognized as an Artist to Watch by Seeing Red Media (alongside Sebastien Gaskin and Natasha Fisher), LOV continues to build momentum both musically and culturally. In 2025, she was invited to perform at Native Fashion Week and model for celebrated designer Rebecca Baker, proving that her presence extends beyond music and into broader creative movements.
LOV is not just making music—she’s making a statement. And this is only the beginning.
