Common Man

Common Man is the indie-pop duo of husband-and-wife songwriters Compton McMurry and Meredith Johnson: punchy storytelling, layered harmonies, and live shows built on genuine connection. Their most recent EP, Musterion, came out in October 2025, and a new album is on the way. On Monday, October 12, they're playing an evening of their own songs to benefit Hudson Community Choir, Hudson's open-door choir. Music starts at 7 pm. Backbar's kitchen is open, so come early for dinner & a drink. We'll collect donations at the table by the entrance. No donation is too small, and no donation is too big. Help us keep the choir accessible to all while fairly compensating composers, arrangers, guest musicians, and our artistic team.
