Artist bio
Floating Cube is a heavy psychedelic guitar and drums duo from Austin, TX. Jake Stuart (baritone guitar) and Carissa Giard (drums) met in the music program at Florida Atlantic University in 2012. After playing in many other projects (Peyote Coyote, The Stargazer Lilies, Tearjerk), they decided to start their own creative endeavor inspired by a wide range of influences, from shoegaze and metal to surf rock and jazz. Blending dark, heavy riffs into pastel shoegazey soundscapes, Floating Cube swirls together an immersive and hypnotic wall of sound that feels sonically massive for a duo.
