Surprise! Its a full band show with the whole West x Midwest crew! Come hang with us at the best BBQ in the Bay! West x Midwest is a collection of original artists and songwriters from the San Francisco Bay Peninsula. Our mission is great live performances that are fun, deep, and give the audience a new song to sing. San Mateo Recording Artist, Nate Walker is the creative force behind Redemption Breaking. Nate's songs are about shouting angst and singing love out loud. His lyrics speak the truth with all its beauty and contradictions. It is 70’s Folk meets 80’s Punk meets 90’s Rock meets modern Americana. Redemption Breaking received the 2025 Lennon Award in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition for “The Devil Wears a Suit”. Brian Patrick is a Bay Area singer-songwriter whose recent influences include John Craigie, Jeffrey Martin and Brandi Carlile. He's motivated by songs that leave space to pull people in, and by gigs with musicians who do something similar on stage. He's been performing on guitar since he was 15, including a showcase gig at The Mint in LA, and another with Gerry Mulligan and a school jazz band at Carnegie Hall. He released his first album, Two by Two, in 2021, and is currently recording his second. Jeff Redlawsk is a professional percussionist and regular in the San Francisco theater scene, playing for Frozen, Wicked, Lion King, South Pacific, Spamalot, Rent (first national tour), Ragtime, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. On top of that, Jeff arranged and recorded “Portraits for Drum set” by Anthony J. Cirone, and earned a Master’s of Fine Arts from San Jose State University. Jeff currently works with a variety of artists, from singer/songwriters to film composers to theatre writers. He is always looking for the sweet spot in the music where things feel and sound right. Brian Fox is a bass player and San Mateo County native with deep roots in the local music scenes. Returning to the Bay after years as a touring musician, Fox spent the better part of a decade as editor of Bass Player magazine, where he collaborated with many of his musical heroes. Brian plays in a number of local original and tribute bands, including Redemption Breaking, Mona Dena, Spirit Hustler, and the Allmond Brothers Band (tribute). He also loves singing and playing with his wife Kerri, daughter Madelyn, and dog Lulu. By day, he is a piano tuner and technician who teaches piano technology at Las Positas College in Livermore, CA.
