Artist bio
A pop of colour in the Glasgow scene, the “genre chameleons” Clay Rings mix influences from a very tight and diverse group of friends and bring "Spanish-Brit" rock to life. Inspired by bands like Wet Leg, Hinds, Pixes, and Oracle Sisters, they combine the writing techniques, harmonies and sweet tones of Eve Scrimger (vocals and trumpet), Freddie Duck (vocals and bass guitar) and Oli Ausin (vocals and electric guitar), with the alt-rock riffs and electro-pop synth lines of Jay Russell (electric guitar and keyboards) and high-energy beats from Loris Amendola (drums) and together they blend in the rhythms, instrumentation and lyrics of Spanish music with grunge British alt-rock. The bands second EP “Day After Day” has been championed by The Skinny, Snack Mag and BBC Introducing.
