Sleeper Wave

Led by teen musicians Cameron Kirkman (17) on guitar and vocals and Jonah Bradbury (15) on keyboards, Sleeper Wave is a Portland-based blues-rock band that blends classic blues, soulful folk, and high-energy rock into dynamic original songs and captivating live performances. In 2025, the band won the Cascade Blues Association's Youth Journey to Memphis Competition, earning the opportunity to represent Portland at the International Blues Challenge on legendary Beale Street. Since then, they have become the first youth-led band nominated for a prestigious Muddy Award and have wowed audiences at the Waterfront Blues Festival, Cathedral Park Jazz Festival, and the historic Alberta Rose Theatre. Whether performing at a packed theater or an intimate club, Sleeper Wave pushes the boundaries of blues-rock, demonstrating that the future of the genre is in (very) capable hands.
