CATCH UP

CATCH UP is a Japanese female alternative rock band that was active from 1996 to 2001. Known genre-blending sound, the band quickly established a distinctive presence in Tokyo’s independent music scene.

CATCH UP released their first full-length album, Space Swing, in February 1998. Later that year, they issued a collaborative split album with Space Kung Fu Man,featuring each band covering the other’s songs.

The band continued to expand their musical range with the self-released Cold Green Soup in September 1999, followed by their second album Aaji in March 2000.


In April 2001, CATCH UP released their third studio album, Sanso, a work that reflects the band’s continued exploration of new musical possibilities.
