safekeeper

colorado slacker rock.

Formed in Fort Collins, Colorado in February 2018, safekeeper is the melancholy brainchild of principal songwriter Zachary Visconti and longtime musical collaborator (and childhood friend) Matt Scorca. The self-proclaimed “slacker rockers” are characterized by dynamic guitar-driven rock songs, often drawing comparisons to 90s-era alternative bands like early Modest Mouse , Built To Spill , The Breeders , Pavement, and Slint.

"Maximalist lo-fi slacker rock from Fort Collins for fans of early Built to Spill and Jonathan Donohue-era Flaming Lips."
-Tom Murphy, Queen City Sound

"While halloweekender is not a pop record by the conventional sense, it is undeniably catchy, capturing a confidence and a vision that makes it a pleasure to revisit.
... halloweekender is loose, off the grid and settled into the lo-fi pocket of Visconti and longtime musical collaborator and original drummer Matt Scorca."
-Laura Giagos, Bandwagon Magazine

"While on sludge summit had the gloom cranked a bit higher, bummer beach bonanza has a carelessness to it that makes it fun and intriguing."
-Jed Murphy, Denver Westword
