About this concert
7:30 PM MST
One guitar. Many roads. A lifetime of stories.
Join Diego García on a journey across the backroads of the Americas, told through the lense of the six-string instrument.
Join us for an intimate evening with Spanish guitarist Diego García (Twanguero), whose solo performances unfold like a living map — tracing landscapes, memories, and cultures gathered over years of travel.
Rooted in Spanish tradition and shaped by journeys throughout the Americas, his music moves effortlessly between elegance and earthiness: from the emotional depth of South America to the open horizons of the American West, from subtle Latin rhythms to reflective, cinematic melodies.
Performed solo, this concert reveals the full expressive range of the guitar — rhythmic, melodic, percussive, and deeply human. Each piece feels lived-in, carrying the traces of roads traveled and places absorbed along the way.
The program draws from The Brooklyn Session, Argentina Songbook, Carreteras Secundarias Vol. 1 & 2, selections from Panamerica, and original, unreleased material shaped by years of movement and exploration.
An immersive listening experience for guitar lovers, world music audiences, and anyone drawn to music that tells stories without words.
“One of the most fascinating guitarists I’ve ever heard.” — NPR
