About this concert
8:30 PM EDT
Before there was One Long Earring, there was “Teri and Joan,” the song-writing duo that toured coffeehouses, Ren Faires, womyn’s campfires and potlucks across America. As their relationship grew and changed over the years, the two disappeared from the public eye after their notorious on-stage breakup at the Labia Majora fest in 1992. But one thing never waivered; Joan Stone Suarez-Levy and Teri Plum wrote some of the most important works of their generation, and there has been a cultural chasm ever since they disbanded. Luckily for us, the two have worked with a somatic healer and are ready to reunite and bring back their hits. Get ready for an intimately entertaining night of song, story and juicy relational drama. Presented by Faith Soloway and Bitch, the band’s managers.

Artist bio
Bitch makes witchy poet pop. She does it with violins and synthesizers. The resulting songs from her new album Bitchcraft, which comes out on Kill Rock Stars on February 4th, 2022, are heartbreaking, spectral, political and beautiful. She is based in Los Angeles after living in New York for many years.. She’s a longstanding queer music icon who has released 9 studio albums.

Bitch first achieved notoriety as one half of the queer folk duo Bitch & Animal. The band went on tour with Ani DiFranco, whom they met while playing a gig at a pizza shop in Provincetown. In the mid 2000s, Bitch went solo, and shared stages with the Indigo Girls, acted in John Cameron Mitchell’s film Shortbus, and licensed some of her songs to The L Word.

Bitchcraft, her first album in 8 years, is one that makes you think and makes you dance. It was recorded in LA, Austin, Provincetown, and Boston. Full of violins, synths, and huge vocals, the record is neon pink and in your face. It’s Joni Mitchell set to a click track; it’s queer Cyndi Lauper and will hex you with its brilliance.
