Artist bio
One foot firmly placed in American rock like Tom Petty & Cheap Trick with the other foot stretching across the Atlantic and back to the late-60s/early-70s sounds of The Stones/Kinks/Who. Together it is no-nonsense, rough-and-tumble batch of strumming and drumming.
Stuart Munro of the Boston Globe says they “simply provide you with unalloyed rock 'n roll.”
Steel Notes magazine says it "has some really great hooks that will have you dancing all over the place."
According to York Calling, “They hint at 60s rock, garage rock and classic rock, yet it also has its own diverse flavor, ensuring The Haymakers never sound like parodies of a previous style.”
We like this quote from If It's Too Loud:
"The songs have a polished but dirty sound, and feel like a dive bar trying to look a little classy."
