The Temptations

The Temptations are returning to Ruth Eckerd Hall on their Farewell Tour, celebrating more than six decades of groundbreaking music, iconic performances, and enduring influence! From their Detroit beginnings to their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, The Temptations built an extraordinary legacy with 42 Top Ten hits, including 14 No. 1 singles, powered by timeless songs such as My Girl, Just My Imagination, Get Ready, and Papa Was a Rolling Stone. Led by founding and original member Otis Williams, the group continues to celebrate a remarkable story of brotherhood, perseverance, and musical innovation that has spanned more than six decades. Their appeal remains stronger than ever, with My Girl recently surpassing one billion Spotify streams and gaining new attention after New York Mets star Francisco Lindor adopted it as his walk-up song, leading to high-profile appearances during the Mets' National League Championship Series run. As Motown pioneers, The Temptations helped break barriers for African American artists and became one of the first groups to successfully cross over into mainstream television and popular culture. Their enduring catalog also includes classics such as The Way You Do the Things You Do, Ain’t Too Proud to Beg, I Can’t Get Next to You, and I Wish It Would Rain, cementing their status as one of the greatest and bestselling R&B groups of all time.
