This fall, Cătălina Cara hits the road for her first-ever headline tour in Romania, bringing What a Feeling to life in an intimate, cinematic show built around her latest EP.
Unfolding in four acts, What a Feeling is a journey home to yourself — through vulnerability, through loss, and out the other side into acceptance, connection, and healing. Backed by a full live band, the songs breathe differently on stage: warm, raw and electric, moving between indie pop, soul and R&B, flavoured with jazzy undertones.
Born in the Republic of Moldova, Cătălina Cara continued her studies in London and then stepped onto the Romanian music scene in 2022 with her debut EP, Leap Year Baby. Since then, she’s taken her sound across stages in Romania and beyond, including festival like Electric Castle and Summer Well.
Her longtime collaboration with producer Mihai Ristea has helped shape much of the music along the way, with songs from while What a Feeling going on to receive praise from international press like CLASH, Notion, and Atwood Magazine.

Artist bio
Moldovan-born singer-songwriter Catalina Cara has captivated audiences with her signature blend of dreamy indie-pop infused with jazz and soul undertones. A leap-day child born on 29 February in Chișinău, she jumped into music early and soon lit up Eastern Europe’s airwaves with her fresh, genre-blurring sound.
Refining her craft through studies in Music and Drama in the UK, Catalina shaped a distinct artistic identity rooted in emotion, storytelling, and cinematic sensitivity. Her debut EP, Leap Year Baby (2022), wove ethereal soundscapes with raw introspection and earned her recognition as one of the most promising new voices in the region.
Having already carved out a space in Europe’s music scene, Catalina has been featured in CLASH, Earmilk, CULTR, LOCK Magazine, and more, with her singles Circles and Shinon earning particular acclaim. She has performed at Electric Castle, Summer Well, and Romanian Fashion Week, and was nominated as Best Emerging Artist at Romania’s Elle Style Awards.
Her newly released EP, What a Feeling (2025), marks a turning point - a soul-infused, deeply personal journey through grief, resilience , and the quiet dawn of healing. Intimate yet cinematic, it captures the moment where feeling becomes freedom.
