Lisa Bastoni

This spring and fall, four highly respected local songwriters will perform their work and explore the nuts and bolts of its architecture. Inside the Song offers audiences insight into the unique and varied approaches these writers use create quality songs. These shows feature Harry Remer and the evening's invited guest each playing original songs. Along the way, they will also discuss the making of one of the guest’s songs—covering inspiration, process and discipline, overcoming doubt, and more—all in a spacious and attractive literary setting. Harry Remer has been writing and performing since the 1990s. He released his second album in 2025, and he has recently been featured on WRSI/The River, Valley Free Radio, and NBC-TV in Western Massachusetts. Lisa Bastoni was the 2019 New Folk winner at the esteemed Kerrville Folk Festival and has shared the stage with Lori McKenna, Mark Erelli, Teddy Thompson, and Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams.
