Artist bio
If you are out among the neon signs of Austin's vibrant nightlife and you happen to see the name "Pendulum Hearts" glowing on the marquee, forget whatever else you may have planned for that night and scoot your happy ass into that venue and get ready to get down and boogie. Night after night, the group tears through a hip-shaking, hot-swinging, two-stepping triple-shot of what they refer to as Alt-Country Swing.
Since the tender age of 13, Chase Risinger AKA Johnny Dioxide has been charming audiences with his eccentric song-writing and creative guitar-playing. Navigating a diverse terrain of genres, he writes about everything from extraterrestrial love to cheap beer and Buddhism. With his contagious rhythms and imaginative melodies, he has carved out a unique sound to go along with his quirky crooning.
Tony Perez graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in musical performance and then proceeded to blaze his way into the Austin music scene. He is a furiously talented violinist who consistently works the crowd up into a frenzy with his lively and exhilarating solos. His expert playing seamlessly weaves from western swing to classical motifs, from red hot jazz to country fiddling. Simply put, Tony is the man.
Josh Hoag is a two-for-one special, not only does he fill in the low frequencies on his upright bass, but he's a percussive slap master as well. When the band is playing as a trio he carries the rhythm section entirely on his shoulders and it sounds gooooood. Hoag cut his teeth playing for Asleep at the Wheel for 10 years, and he has shared the stage with such legends as Willie Nelson, George Strait and Paul Simon.
Cabe Irvine is the drummer everyone wants in their band. Calm, cool and collected when he's chugging along on a train beat or a hot swing tune, the dimension he adds to the show is undeniable. He keeps the dancers going, he keeps the other musicians honest and when it's his time to solo lookout, its a firework show.

What fans are saying
Thoroughly enjoyed Pendulum Hearts. Great guitar, wonderful fiddle, and clever storytelling! Love their honky tonk swang! So much talent in this group, we were honored to be in the room. Donn's Depot remains the same and we are grateful for that. Keep on chuggin', DD.
