KALATONE

KALATONE are a four-piece progressive hard rock/metal band from the Gold Coast, Australia, blending crushing riffs, atmospheric textures and deeply personal songwriting into music that takes listeners on a journey.

Formed in 2024, the band was never meant to become what it is today. What began as an idea for a tribute project quickly evolved into something entirely original as bass-driven compositions, powerful guitar work and dynamic arrangements took on a life of their own. The arrival of vocalist and lyricist Tim Pitchford completed the puzzle, helping shape the band’s distinctive sound and identity.

Drawing influence from bands like Tool, Karnivool, Chris Cornell and many more, are forging a path of their own, KALATONE create music that balances heaviness with melody, introspection with aggression, and technicality with emotion.

Following the release of their debut EP, Pathways, and standout tracks including Fire Starter and Nostalgia, the band have continued to build momentum through festival appearances, growing media attention and an ever-expanding catalogue of new material. Their upcoming album promises to push their sound even further.
