Artist bio
Ahead of embarking on a full summer festival season, JERUB releases his second single of the year, ‘Forever Right Now’. Produced by Jordan Cosmo, this track sees the breakthrough talent discuss living in the moment, with a lyrical performance that showcases his arena-ready vocals, over exhilarating, sun-soaked instrumentation.
Speaking on the single, JERUB says:
“‘Forever Right Now’ came from a conversation with a friend who was going through a scary time. His partner was unwell and waiting for some serious test results, and he said something that stuck with me: “If we don’t have long, let’s make it the best, ‘not long ever’”. That line really got me. It wasn’t about giving up or pretending everything was fine. It was about choosing love, presence and joy in the middle of not knowing. This song came from that feeling. None of us really know how long we get, so maybe the point is to stop waiting, hold each other closer and be fully here while we can. ‘Forever Right Now’ is about trying to make a moment feel endless. Turning right now into forever.”
Today’s release follows a stellar performance from JERUB at MUSEXPO in L.A. in March, where he received a standing ovation from 300 of the global music industry's top executives. JERUB’s global appeal continues to be realised, having recently featured on Nigerian artist Johnny Drille’s most recent album, brushing shoulders with the likes of Ayra Starr, Fireboy DML & Tiwa Savage. London’s DJ AG has also been added to the growing list of co-signs for JERUB who is fast becoming one of the UK’s most exciting musical exports.
His previous single, ‘Stay’, saw JERUB collect his second number 1 iTunes chart entry, as well as another Capital Top 40 chart position. His hit song ‘Kumbaya’ also topped the first ever UK Christian & Gospel chart, adding to the major milestones reached for JERUB in the last 6 months. Since signing to Elevate Music, JERUB has amassed over 85 million streams, released three EPs, earning him support from BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, and Amazon Music, along with over 200 regional radio stations. His standout TV appearances include opening the King’s Coronation Concert on BBC1 with Pete Tong’s Heritage Orchestra, and performances for Children In Need, Who Dares Wins Awards, Comic Relief, Sunday Brunch and Stand Up To Cancer.
JERUB’s sold-out headline tours and impressive list of support slots including: James Arthur, JP Cooper, Gavin James, Tom Walker, Victor Ray, and Nick Mulvey across the UK, Europe and Australia, all point to the kind of artist JERUB continues to grow into, one with longevity, authenticity and a loyal fanbase.
‘Forever Right Now’ follows the chart success of ‘Kumbaya’ and ‘Stay’, adding further momentum to what is shaping up to be the most exciting year yet for JERUB on his journey to mainstream success.
