Artist bio
Moxies are a Garage Punk / 90's Grunge band from Edinburgh and have been playing live and recording music in Scotland specifically and aim to branch to the rest of the UK while building a name for themselves in the alternative local music space, combining garage punk, grunge, punk rock with high energy on stage to really put themselves out there. Setup by Dan Reid (vocals, guitar, songwriting) in 2024, the lineup is complete with Rick Boa (lead guitar) Emma Chalmers (bass) and Harry Miller (drums). The bands sound encapsulates raw energy, anger, melody, emotional vulnerability and hooks all driven by distortion reminiscent of the 90's.
The band have played King Tuts in Glasgow and numerous other venues across Scotland, been aired on Amazing Radio by Jim Gellatly & are established in the local music scene. Rick Boa, the bands lead guitarist has recorded with Steve Albini in Chicago while on a US tour with his band Post Diluvian in 2001 and brings that experience to the project to shape the bands alternative sound.
