O·N·S & Friends is a Montréal-based reggae and dub production project led by Ons Barnat—a French-born multi-instrumentalist, professor, and ethnomusicologist of Tunisian and Danish origins. Rooted in sound system culture and studio experimentation, the project centers on the composition and arrangement of original groovy riddims.
Collaborating with a diverse network of local and international vocalists and instrumentalists, O·N·S & Friends reimagines the studio-as-instrument philosophy pioneered by King Tubby, Lee “Scratch” Perry, and Mad Professor. Influenced by modern dub-mix artists such as Paolo Baldini, Tippy I Grade, Pachyman, and Iseo & Dodosound, the project bridges timeless reggae foundations with modern production artistry.
