Artist bio
Formed in the Kansas City music scene, ENDRID crept into the community and drew attention with a sound defined by authentic genre-blending, atmospheric immersion, and raw aggression. Their music serves as an intense, albeit catchy, exploration of dissociation, depression, and self-reclamation, shifting through narrative perspectives to make heavy themes feel deeply personal and grounded in reality.
Their upcoming EP-turned-album concept is a hybrid interpretation of the Latin mystical poem The Dark Night of the Soul.
Emerging from a fascination with sonic storytelling, ENDRID is a surreal, concept-driven journey through identity, transformation, and the cycles of light and dark we all face. Blending dreamlike ambience with moments of crushing intensity, the project tells stories from shifting perspectives. While some tracks live in fantastical dreamscapes, others confront in-your-face, reality-based struggles with unflinching honesty. At their core, there are elements of nu-gaze, alt-rock, and metal-adjacent intensity, but the band’s upcoming music draws on indie, folk, progressive, and cinematic influences; much more is coming.
Despite the range and unpredictability, ENDRID’s music remains deeply accessible. Each song, no matter how atmospheric or heavy, is built on an emotional through-line that invites listeners in. The band’s goal is simple yet profound: to help people see themselves in the stories ENDRID presents — to take a myth, a legend, or an imagined world, and make it feel personal. Whether it’s a whispered verse or a towering wall of distortion, every shift in dynamic serves the same purpose: connection.
