Artist bio
Lyricist. Lawyer. Londoner…
Few artists bridge worlds like Essa.
With a poet’s soul and a lawyer’s precision, he crafts emotive hip-hop that resonates far beyond the surface.
His mission statement is simple: meaningful bars over soulful beats.
A veteran of UK hip-hop’s golden era, Essa has shared stages and studios with the likes of De La Soul, Guru, Inspectah Deck and Pharoahe Monch.
He makes nuanced rap that challenges easy ideas about identity — no pigeonholes, no taking sides. Music for anyone who’s ever felt caught between worlds.
For fans of: Loyle Carner, Children of Zeus, Kofi Stone and Jehst.
Every Soul Seeks Another.
