About this concert
7:00 PM CDT1 Going
Celebrate with Mike Maimone, on tour for the release of his 15th album and 1st book, both called Guess What? I Love You. The companion pieces are a tribute to his late husband Howard Bragman, who championed the LGBTQ+ community by helping celebrities navigate their coming out journeys, and was a beloved Hollywood luminary appearing on everything from RuPaul's Drag Race to Good Morning America. His Coming Out Fund benefits the University of Michigan's Spectrum Center - the first on-campus LGBTQ Center in the nation. Maimone's piano-based music is often compared to Randy Newman, Leon Russell, Tom Waits, and Dr. John. With over 200 published songs, he has been heard on Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists, movie and TV soundtracks, on the radio, and he has performed at major festivals and legendary venues across the country and internationally, toured with bands including Blues Traveler, Plain White T's and OK Go, and shared the stage with the legendary Stevie Wonder. This show features Mike performing songs from his new album on solo piano. Guiding the audience on an emotional journey, he will also read short selections from his book, which received a Kirkus recommendation, an endorsement from Don Lemon, and Los Angeles Magazine called it "a moving account of love, loss and the radical act of staying open to possibility.” Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8 and runs about 75 minutes. Tickets $15 advance / $20 day-of Ages 21+

Artist bio
Mike Maimone is a piano-playing singer-songwriter whose music and life story are defined by resilience, passion, and authenticity. Jenn White of NPR said he's “reminiscent of Dr. John or Leon Russell.” Yahoo! Entertainment wrote, "His raw, emotive songwriting and electrifying performances have drawn comparisons to Randy Newman, Tom Waits, and Warren Zevon."

In 2023 Maimone played keys with Stevie Wonder in tribute to his late husband, Howard Bragman. Following Bragman’s passing, Maimone released Borrowed Tunes, Vol. 2: Songs for You, an album of covers that held deep significance for the couple. His live performances in Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago sold out, with all proceeds donated to The Trevor Project.

Since then he’s produced a new original album and written an accompanying book about love, loss, and healing, coming in 2026.
