Artist bio
Frank Quattrone of Town and Country Living magazine describes Elle as having a "voice that hovers between the dramatic highs of Mariah Carey and the subtle shadings of Norah Jones. It’s rhythm-and-blues meets pop with a dash of sparkle. And that’s what her voice has---Sparkle. She enchants her audiences with her own mix of rhythm and blues, pop and jazz, delivering songs that resonate in your soul”.
This songbird wasn't even born when Ella Fitzgerald blessed our ears with her soulful jazz ballads, but when the Ghanaian native heard her smooth vocals as well as those of Aretha, Etta, and other pioneers alike, she immediately knew she had found the cornerstone of her signature sound.
On Stage, Elle not only captures audiences with her soulful vocal renditions, she wows them with her solos and unique song renditions on the flute, her first instrument. Elle and her band, The John Doe Band, have secured a well-deserved spot onto numerous stages, including the legendary SOUTH Jazz Kitchen, The Philadelphia Art Museum, as well as several well-known music venues and festivals around the country. Elle has shared the stage with musical legends including Wyclef Jean, Teena Marie, and Philly’s own Carol Riddick. She has recorded one EP, and one Full-length album, which are both in rotation domestically and internationally, and she has secured her own channel on Pandora Radio, where she has been grouped with artists including Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill, and Jill Scott.
Currently “in the lab”, Elle is completing the finishing touches of her upcoming Sophomore Album, which is slated for release in the Summer of 2025. This upcoming release stays true to Elle’s soul music roots, while indulging in R&B, Pop as well. Stay tuned!
